Winter is coming...
Now that winter is around the corner, those of you who live in cold/snow prone areas, what are you doing for wheels or tires? My previous Turbo just went into hibernation until spring, so didn't have this issue. With my new GTS, I want to keep driving it this winter. I am looking to get a separate set of wheels with winter tires to change up the look alittle too. Any suggestions?

Decided to go with a set of Victor Innsbrucks, black to change up the look alittle. Fronts 20x8.5 and rears 20x11 wrapped with ExtremeContact DWS (DWS for Dry, Wet & Snow) by Continental. Will arrive soon, looking forward to trying them out. I think the black will look good due to all the black trim and sideskirts on the GTS.

I went with the original 18 inch wheels and Pirelli snows, the idea being that narrower tires are better in snow than the big fat floaters used in summertime. Comes from years of going to ski country and learning the hard way which are better.

The 18's won't fit the GTS, so that leaves the 19's as the smallest option I think.

I have a new GL 550 for the bad weather, just wanted some all weathers for the colder days and light snow/slush if needed. No mountains to worry about in Indiana! And it's true, GTS needs 19's or bigger.

Still trying to figure out what set to get, used Porsche factory wheels or a different set. Considering the Innsbruck or the Falken RT-7M's.

Some had an Innsbruck explode on a track day. Search on Google, you will find it. However, I think you will be fine with normal winter driving.

What tires are adding, and what sizes for winter?
