Default Aftermarket Fire Extinguisher for PANA.

Here is the post from when I used this bracket for my 997. I tried it with my P4S today and it worked nicely. Had to bend the bracket near bolt points, but otherwise it works well. If you decide you need a aftermarket FE bracket check it out! It will stop the power seat from coming forward at a certain point, but not bad at all.

Here was the DIY install I posted on the 997 forum. 20mins. no seat removal which sold it for me!

I have no affiliation with the company that sold me FE.

Seems like a stupid design... why doesn't it bolt to the moving part of the seat? With the extra seat height seems you could get it snug enough to not impede the passenger foot space much at all...

Is it the BK mount?

No, it is quite a good design as it does not require removing the seat to install and is basically a quick on- off. The one you are talking about requires seat removal and doesn't come off easily. Nice to quickly take it off when not doing DEs.

here is no FE bracket design made for the Panamera aftermarket. This design is for a 997. If you are really worried about foot space, get a 1.5lb FE.

Brilliant design in my opinion

Well mine stays in the car all the time - mostly in that location. I have a moving seat mount (custom made) and a Brey-Kraus quick release mechanism (a truly great design - check it out) I dislike the seat rails that are shown with it though..

If I wanted to remove it from thr car - unlatching just the quick release leaves very little hardware behind... I do also have an alternate base mount location I can clip it to beneath my pass rear seat in case I want to free up more front legroom (e.g. long trip with the wife).

I do like having the extinguisher in the car all the time - just in case. Having an alternate mount location in back somewhere might be more acceptable looking... bolting it in and out would be too much for me though.
