Default New Panamera Turbo

Car came in last week, finally picked it up last night.

It is ridiculous fast. Don't miss the PDCC at all under 100.

Here are some quick and dirty pictures (raining when I picked it up):

Beautiful car....the styling is starting to warm on me - particularly in that colour with the Turbo wheel. Is that 19" or 20" on yours?

i think he means under 100 mph the body roll is not noticeable w/o PDCC.

having had a cayenne with and w/o pdcc, i am inclined to agree

Those are the 20" Turbo II wheels, .5" wider than the RS Spyder's and forged I believe.

The car is growing on me more and more. The straight line performance is warp speed and I'm taking it somewhat easy during break-in. Push the pedal and it just keeps giving back, unlike a lot of cars where half throttle is nearly the same seat of pants acceleration as full throttle.

The PCM system is light years ahead of the previous generations as well. Much more customizable and useful information.

I'm not entirely sold on the Burmester, but I haven't listened to the Bose system either. Volume compensation is very aggressive and only seems to go up, I hope it's adjustable.

Interior and exterior lighting is very nice. I went with the additional rear lighting package, which I highly recommend, it also adds LED interior lighting pretty much everywhere.

Exterior mirrors take some getting used to, they are triangular which gives you a strange field of vision, but they are sufficient. Rear view mirror for reversing is worthless. Backup camera is a must have option.

My first car was a 1975 Caprice Classic. Piloting the Panamera has a similar feel. The hood seems huge. I think it feels that way from sitting so low in the car and the hood is relatively flat. Makes my Cayenne feel like a compact SUV.

Sport chrono on the dash can also double as a clock. Nice to know it does something somewhat useful and lights up at night.

Red guages are a very nice touch. Not obnoxious at all. I'm glad I passed on the red seatbelts though, it would have been a little to wannabe sports coupe.

That's it for now. Thanks for the positive feedback! -Roger

Love it. Give us an update on what you find out about the Burmester Volume compensation.

Congrats Roger. Can you talk about the additional rear lighting package? I also ordered it because it gives you additional light on the rear roof but what else does it do? The Porsche description is pretty vague.

Thanks

Having driven with and w/o...PDCC is clearly noticable even at low speed quick turns.....no doubt. and highly recommended for heavy cars ie >3000 lb.
Very nice car....Love the red..how come the chrono is not red????

Not sure I am liking those wheels. Just saw them on the new 911 turbo. I still like the spyder design for the Panamera Turbo.

with smooth steering inputs and proper intial placemant at lower speed the pdcc is only somewhat apparent.

on quick steering inputs styles i would agree it is more noticeable
