Default Rocker panel rock chips - Normal ?

I am looking to purchase a used Panamera, and the one I am seriously interested in right now is a '22 model with almost all the options I wanted. From the pictures, car looks pretty neat and well maintained.
I have been speaking to the dealer associate about any visible damage other than what one would consider 'normal wear and tear', and he mentions about a fair amount of rock chips on the rocker panel in front of the rear wheels.

The car is out of state and while I appreciate his honesty and going an extra mile to send me the close-up shots of the rocker panels, I am a little concerned. Is this considered normal for these cars or is it some kind of road rash ?

Thanks
PK

Wow! I would say that's a lot of road damage. I just grabbed an older Panamera and there is literally zero road rash like that (car from SoCal). The good news is that much of that road rash is on the PPF and that's pretty easily replaceable with a kit on the internet. For the rest, it may need to be repainted. Best of luck with the sale!

Looks like it’s mostly on the PPF. If the dealership isn’t too far I’d go see it in person.

Looks more like road salt to me, but I would assume the dealership already tried cleaning it off.

How many miles has that car seen? Maybe the previous owner just has a gravel driveway or frequently drives through less maintained roads.

That's a good point. Maybe a little rubbing compound or stage 1 paint wax prep would take it off? Worth a try for a car you want!

That is alot for only 18k miles. Must be in a dirty area. It looks like its mostly contained to the factory PPF. Should be easily fixable with new PPF and some compound.

Awesome video to repair superficial road rash, other than the PPF.
