I have a cpo 2017 panamera 4s that random shuts off when stopped or when starting to go from a stop. Auto start/stop is off. It requires you to turn off the car, turn it back on and put it into gear.
It'll do it several times back to back but then go up to a week without it happening. I have a video of it doing it twice in 4 mins (it had done it more that day).
Local dealership cant replicate. Porsche of North America told me to go f myself.
Don't feel comfortable driving the car. I'm just waiting for it to die as I make a left hand turn with traffic coming.
I love the cars but it's hard to want to buy another Porsche even though it's the only car I really want. I've been looking at 991s.
Have it towed in next time it does it. Or trade it into a different dealer.
The car should have stored codes as to why it's dyeing though. The dealer should be able to read them.
Maybe have a tech drive it with diagnostic equipment attached. A friend had a similar issue (different brand), randomly shutting down and no restart until sat for an hour or so. Dealer could not find the issue then finally replaced the engine ECU. Problem solved.

Reason: Missing word
Dealer will claim that's an outside source and blame every issue on that. Never give them this idea. You'll pay for absolutely everything
Honestly at this point I'd pay out of pocket assuming it wasn't more than the depreciation I'd "pay" by selling. I don't live where there is a lot of independent mechanics but I'm trying to find one.

But then your CPO is worthless if someone else touches something.
