Default First time buyer

Rennlist - I have been shopping for a panamera for about 8 months now. I have narrowed down my preferences and this particular car checks most boxes but I am nervous about age. Anything in particular I need to worry about besides what google shows? I will be buying and shipping into indiana.

Seems a bit pricey for its age, but the build sheet is impressive. The only gotchya that I had with my CPO 2018 4S was the sunroof creaking and popping. The TSB is not covered under CPO because nothing is actually broken but I got them to goodwill it since they were the selling dealer. Whatever other leaks or problems happen with your car just due to aging hoses or seals will be covered by CPO. Do you have a dealer nearby? I had a leaky motor mount and a leaking oil filter housing so far.

I do have a dealer, I am in fort wayne, in

several dealers within 2 hours

I am inclined to wait and spend 20-30K more for a newer year, but being my first Porsche I am trying to be conservative.

For 7k more I would go with the one from the Porsche Dealer since it comes with 2 year warranty for peace of mind. That 4S isn't a bad price with having CPO.
You can ask them what they had to do to get the car to pass the CPO standards to qualify for CPO. CPO has strict guidelines in order to be a CPO car.

yes, I think CPO is really the only way to go, particularly being a first time buyer. I'm looking more in the 85Kish range, but I have dabbled with the idea of getting a lightly used gen 3

I would not own a 2018 or older EA839 2.9TTV6 due to risk of cam roller follower bearing failure, well documented on rennlist, audiworld and youtube. That rules out the first two examples.

The last example is much newer and more expensive. Not comparable to the first two examples, and indeed is a nice car.

Have you drove both? The base felt like a slug compared to the 4S. I would stick with CPO either way. My dealer did about 6K worth of work to bring it up to spec, then I had a few repairs that surely paid for the added CPO cost.

so I didnt get to drive either of the g2, however I have driven g2 and 100% agree that the 4s is more fun to drive. However, I am a pretty relaxed driver. I think I am going to try and work a deal on the g3.

CPO is the only way to go...

Sport Chrono highly recommended - RAS for sure - as well as Burmester.

Go for it!!!

Good luck!

The interior of the 17 is gorgeous! Love the dark brown/truffle/cognac. I have 2017 Targa 4S Sapphire Blue with light tan seats and dark brown/truffle dash. Sadly as my body ages, looking at Panemaras for more comfort as getting in and out of the 911 is becoming a chore!
My dealer has a new one...137K.

Diam, the car in first post is expensive because of its low miles. I think there is room to negotiate.

Since you have looked for 8 months and this is what you like and CPO. I say go for it. Cars are emotional purchases.

Wouldn't a 4 eHybrid with the added torque be about the same as a regular 4S for DD duties and around the town driving ? On paper I'm sure the 4S outperforms but what about seat of the pants?
