Default Panamera E-Hybrid charging cable for home?

I just purchased a 2023 Panamera 4S E Hybrid on the used market (replaces a 2011 Panamera S). Unfortunately I did not receive a charging cable with it. I was hoping to get some advice on a charger. I don't do a whole lot of driving because I mostly work from home. I have a basic 110V 3-pronged outlet in my garage, nothing special. I want to get some advice on what type of charger to purchase to support my car. The EV range on the car is only 29 miles, so I don't think I want to go to the expense of installing a 240V line.

A decent used PMCC (Porsche Mobile Charger Connect) is about $700 on eBay. But before I purchase one I was hoping to get some advice to see if there was a better option.

Thanks in advance.

After a lot of online searching, I am thinking about buying one of these. The company is headquartered in Los Angeles, which is important to me (being in America). It is a Level 1 charger with only 15 Amp, so no special outlet is needed. It also come with a Wi-Fi connection and an app to monitor the charge.

Does anyone have a thought regarding this choice?

There is absolutely nothing special about a Porsche charger. For $700 you can get a good level 2 (240V) charger. Unless your situation makes installing a 240V 50A (or 30A) plug prohibitively expensive, I think you will find a 30+A L2 charger will be a lot more useful if you drive your car more than once a day.

You can pick up a L1 charger on Amazon for just over $100:
Amazon Amazon
and I would do that anyway for trips.

Thanks for the thought. The Panamera has a small battery, with a range of only 29 miles, which is why I wasn't going to bother with an L2 charger.

Just be aware that at 15A you are running at the top end of most household circuits and anything else that uses that circuit may trip the breaker. If you have a 20A circuit to plug in to, that would be better (check the panel). No comment on that particular model. They are commodities and I think it would be hard to screw it up too bad.

I've been charging my 2018 eH with a super-generic L2 charger that I've had for ~5 years and have used across multiple EVs. Nothing special, and the Pmera deals with it just fine. I find the scheduled charging feature completely baffling so I never use that—but otherwise, no problems.

I swear I read somewhere that L2 charging was better for this specific battery pack's longevity, but that may just be reddit myth dust on my brain. At any rate, my ~6 year old pack gets a peak of ~23 miles on EV mode on a full charge in moderate summer conditions.

I would say that the faster the charging, the more wear on the battery, so L1 would be less wear. But compared to "supercharging" I doubt there is much of a difference.

And Rick, small battery or not (I have the same one), the L1 takes 12* hours to fully charge. If that's OK, then go for it.

* Estimate 100V x 10A * 15 hours = 15 kWh which is a standard empty to full charge on this battery. If you can eke out 15A it is still 10 hours.

I had a 2018;series 1 and could charge the smaller battery overnight with level 1 (110 v). The 2023 with larger battery will not charge overnight and I installed a 50 A socket but the maximum current used is 30 A at 7.2 kW. I use the Porsche charger, mostly at 3.6 kW which takes about 4 hours to charge fully. There are better chargers but Porsche works.

Thanks for all the advice, guys. The dealer where I bought the car was able to locate the original Porsche charger, and it is being sent to me.
