Default Bad fuel filter?

2011 Panamera S.

I smell a bit of gas after a drive near the rear-left wheel of the car.
The gas consumption has gotten worse, somehow takes 2x as much even though the monitor records 14km/L, but the consumption is more like half that at 7km/L on the highway at around 55mph/90kmh.

Do you folks reckon it's a bad fuel filter? or could it be something else?
FYI the performance of the car is still great, I'm able to floor it whenever (tried and tested) and accelerates normally.. so I don't know if that's a deal breaker or not.

I don't know if the fuel filter has to be changed, that's why i'm wondering
I smell fuel only outdoor near the rear-left wheel.

You need to go under the car to see if you don't see a leak.

There's no leak I checked when the car was raised

That's why I'm asking to see if it's a fuel filter.
Could it be anything other than a bad or clogged fuel filter?
When I press the accelrate on the car it accelrates very well. The only symptoms I'm getting of a bad fuel filter are the following:

Terrible gas mileage at high speeds
Smell of fuel near the left-rear wheel, outside.
Car takes some time to turn on (usually turns on in under a second, now takes a good 2 seconds or so)

You can try to control fuel pressure. Fuel filter is in the tank, you can remove rear seat en look is you smell fuel, because pump and filter are installed under the seats

The fuel filter is actually located under the rear right passenger seat, so the opposite side of the source of smell. Also, suspect you would also smell in the interior as well.... not too much about fuel filters posted as I was checking a few months back on general maintenance and didn't proceed further. The long cranking symptoms usually manifest when the high-pressure fuel pump starts to fail. Also note there is a low-pressure fuel pump that is co-located with the fuel filter.
Here is a video of the fuel filter...

In the engine bay you smell fuel ?
It's possible that you smell fuel near exhaust and it's possible that you have problem fuel pressure on your car. Perhaps the pump HP or one coil.
Nous need try to scan with piwis to have more information.

Ah, right, not left.
Well, I smell some fuel near the rear left wheel, will see if it's from the other side as well. Don't smell anything inside of the car, just outside.

Back then, the car used to instantly start, even on cold starts. Just recently around a week ago it started taking 1-2 seconds and even longer on cold starts.

When the car is on, it accelerates and goes as quick as usual, no other symptoms of a usual fuel pump or fuel filter failure.. could it maybe be a battery? My battery for sure has to be replaced.. but this still doesn't explain the terrible gas mileage or the smell of fuel outside.

ALSO, no codes, no lights, nothing.

The car acts 100% as normal in terms of acceleration, just with delayed starts now. I was going to take it to a mechanic today but I got busy fixing up a steering box leak I had that I thought would solve the car shaking at high speeds (60mph+)

There is no smell of fuel in the engine bay, the smell is mainly when i poke my head down near the rear wheel.

There is no piwis currently available at where I live, but I might try to get ahold of one from the dealership.. let's see if they will be nice to me
