Hi, I have a 2010 Panamera V8 and I just purchased a genuine Porsche carbon steering wheel. The wheel is heated and the one I removed was not. It seems the cabling for the heated wheel is not present on my car.
Can someone advise which part I need to allow the heated wheel to be used?
thanks
Alan

If you are positive the wire isnt there, you will need a new clock spring at the least. The clock spring is the device which allows the electrical connections to rotate with the wheel. One from a 970 speced with heated steering wheel should work. I would bet the required wire is present at the connector that the clock spring plugs into in the steering column.

I did a quick search on a part website, and it looks like there is a different clock spring for heating wheel and one for without.
Knowing VAG, its also possible you need to code it in, but maybe not if the mechanical button is on the steering wheel like the 971. Hopefully the harness before the clock spring always gets 12v. If its in the PCM or a dash button I would bet you need a PIWIS.
