Default Console trim removal

Gm, can the shifter trim #12 be pulled out without detaching the air vents, radio and entire console?

You will need to remove the shifter first, I can say that. There is a video on YouTube about the front console removal, search for it and they show you. I think there are a couple of videos, actually.

Yep, the shifter **** pulls right up and I was able to remove the shifter housing through the shifter hole using a plastic crowbar tool. Looks so much better the new part was mint.

Yes. You need to remove the shift **** as has been said already. Twist the very bottom 1/4" or so of the shifter **** to allow the **** to pull straight up and off.
