Default General consensus on the reliability of facelifted 1st gen Panamera 4S?

Hello,

I'm currently selling my relatively low mileage 1st gen Panamera 4S (non-facelift, 4.8 V8 400hp) due to relocation.

After settling in, I'm planning to buy a new Panamera, I'm specifically interested in the facelifted version of the 1st gen and currently looking into the 4S with a 3.0 V6 biturbo (420hp).

I'm concerned about reliability, potential bore scoring issues, turbo issues, and common problems, what to look for... I was hoping that maybe some of you guys can chime in.

I'm not necessarily considering importing my current panamera since I know for a fact those engines suffer from bore scoring as they gather more and more miles and I might as well get the facelift

Thanks!

The 3.0/3.6 cold vee engine has known problems. Search this site.

2014-2016 Panameras are very reliable, other than the e-hybrid models.

Get a GTS 2014-16 : by far the most reliable Panamera ever, even compared the 971 gen.

My 970 was vastly more reliable than my 971 has been.

No reason to downgrade to a V6 turbo, If you want Turbo problems get the real turbo.
