Just Bought My First Porsche
Hi all,
New to the community, but I've been reading threads for a couple of weeks now. Some fantastic stuff here and I'm excited to be a part of it.
I just bought my 1st Porsche today. I gave my 2013 Audi RS5 in mint condition for a very clean and relatively low kms 2013 Porsche Panamera 4 (Platinum Edition) with Sport Chrono Plus pkg, soft close doors, and 20" Rs Spyder wheels. Picking the car up next week!
Such a different car from what I'm used to, but that's what a wife and a new kid will do (for now). Looking forward to engaging this wonderful community and asking a few important questions once I'm settled in here.
Thank you everyone. Cheers!

Welcome! These make for a great family car that is still fun to drive!! My boys love riding in my '12 Turbo. FWIW, I use an indy shop for my service needs.

I'm assuming there is a typo in your poll, the cost for 2 year and 1 year are the same.
How many miles (km's I guess) are currently on it?
10,000km / year isn't much. (6,000 miles for those of us down south). Many of us would run out of miles on the warranty much earlier than the associated time. For example, to me the "4 year" warranty only has 2 years worth of mileage included.
Normally I would vote to bank the money and spend it (if needed) at an independent shop, BUT...
The air suspension in these cars is a known issue. Depending on mileage, it COULD be a winning play to buy the big/long warranty ($4500 USD) if you wind up having to replace 2 corners of the air suspension in the next 4 years. But to go back to the above point, "in the next 24k miles" is a lot less than "in the next 4 years" to me, and would probably prevent me from taking this option.

Congrats! Beautiful vehicles, inside/out. I am also a first time Panamera buyer and curious about your thought process. Test drove one and was hooked.
Looking for one 8+ yrs old under 100k miles. From what I’ve seen on this forum, the base rwd may be a little better on repair costs and reliability than awd and hybrid. My other experience with hybrids is they seem to require most service at the dealer.
Concerned parts for first gen will become harder to find not to mention longer down times with repairs.
