Panamera's 2010 active pedestrian protection activated, popping up the hood by the front windshield. It looks like it can be reset. Does any one know if The hood can be closed and reactivated again or is it a one time activation and replace module. I know on some Mercedes you can lift the hood up normally and push it back to reset it, not sure if the same can be done here?

"Active Bonnet SystemSafety was further improved with the active bonnet system when the sensors in the front apron detect a collision with a pedestrian, the rear edge of the bonnet raises thanks to pyrotechnical charges. This system tries to reduce the injury by making the pedestrian to roll over the car instead of landing in the windscreen"
Sounds like you would have to replace the active charge system - not sure about the mechanical part of the system.
An "Ignition Module for Lid" is mentioned in service manual -- fairly detailed procedure to properly remove and replace once triggered.
