And one other: heated steering wheel. Yes, an option with Porsche.

RWS is 100% mandatory IMO. Not sure if that's part of the Platinum thing but if not, add it.

Absolutely correct. I’ve never had RWS but reading about it, owners claim never buy without RWS.

I'd agree with this, too. I don't have it, but dang if this isn't a large car, and that would help in a surprising variety of situations. If/when the time comes for another Panamera, the next one will have it...

I personally don't have RWS. Does it feel weird to get used to?

I read the reviews, Porsche and others. Not one negative comment. Except that more gizmos = more things to go wrong.

I never thought of RWS but now a must have feature. I priced a Build Your Own and it is a $1,340 option.

Black accents do look great on chalk. I got the black window trim, door handles, wheels, and model designation, but I purposely decided to keep two things in silver:

(1) the Porsche logo because otherwise a black Porsche logo would blend into the twilight and wanted the Porsche logo to be visible. I don’t think this clashes with the black model designation. I still wanted the model designation in black because it actually sits on the chalk both in the back and on the sides of the car (for the “e-hybrid” designation). I agree the silver wouldn’t look good on the actual chalk. I wasn’t crazy about the acid green outline but my wife oddly liked it and the alternative was to delete the whole model designation which I definitely didn’t want to do plus the acid green is the only way that a regular 4S is differentiated with a 4S E-Hybrid. Similar to what @Shuga said, I think people who delete model designations are mostly folks who got a base model and are embarrassed about it.

(2) the twin dual-tube tailpipes that come standard on the 4S. I wanted the tailpipes to stand out and thought black ones wouldn’t stand out as much since the bottom part of the rear bumper is black and they might have kinda blended in.

Overall, these things are pretty subjective so go with what you like the best. Here’s a pic of the back of my car (note, I have the exclusive design taillights, the standard ones look different).

You can definitely tune a 4 E-Hybrid to get more horsepower (similar to the HP of the 4S as they both have the same V6 engine). But the downside is that it would void the Porsche warranty.

It’s true that Sport Chrono package doesn’t technically increase the HP of your car, but practically speaking, it does get your car to increase its output when you put the car in Sport Plus or press the Sport Response button which makes the car put out its absolute maximum power for 20 seconds. Just some food for thought.

I’m also a convert to the rear-axle steering! I had originally left it off my build until folks here raved about it. One of the best options I got for sure. Aside from the mind-blowing turning radius, I actually feel a noticeable difference when I make turns. I can turn at a faster speed yet keep the car stable (and not skid tires).

You can manually turn it off if you want.

what wheels did you go with? Debating between exclusive design wheels in black or sport design wheels in black

I would not delete the acid green outline. Shows the world I am doing my part as a genuine Tree Hugger.

There are more M badges sold on Amazon than BMW M vehicles ever produced. Ditto Porsche Turbo S badges.
