Default Wifi Hotspot question

Hi everyone,
New member here!
I have a Panamera with noise and thermally insulated glass and it's causing Google maps to track poorly. Would Wifi hotspot solve this issue? This is a major issue for me and hope that there is a solution!
Thanks!

I wish I could help you with this but I have not experienced any problems with the map (PCM) and the insulated glass. I do run Waze l, thru Apple CarPlay, and also have not noticed any issues although I do connect the internal WiFi of the car. The only issue I have had was the toll pass mounted on the windshield and the small areas it needed to be mounted so that it could read by the toll meters.

Thank you so much for your reply. It’s helpful. So when connected to the Wifi hotspot you can use Waze without a problem? That’s great. I know wifi hotspot entails getting a SIM card and paying a monthly fee. How much is it and where do you get the SIM? Porsche dealer I’m assuming?

On the 2020 models, the SIM cards are integrated within the PCM system. I do have to contract with AT&T for the internet connection whereby an in-car WiFi hotspot is created. All I have to do then is just connect to the WiFi and Waze has not let me down.

If you do have a need for a SIM card, I think I remember reading that you may have to contact the dealer and they can have a SIM sent to you.
