Honestly, even if you have to replace them, if you're handy with a wrench you can save a pile of cash. The job itself is not difficult (believe it or not) but it does require some know-how. There's two writeups here that walk you through the process. Ckia's and mine. My writeup actually goes into the tear-down of the bag/strut itself.
