Are you getting a check-engine light or anything? Some on here might say that is "normal DI sound", but my car has the same engine and it's near silent.

Check for a Catalytic Converter "rattle" = (failure).

- I had the same "engine noise" scare - and after flat bedding the car to my dealer they found that my High Milage Panamera 4S's 4.8L engines had one catalytic converter fail internally and rattle.

My car also had no logged error codes / does not burn oil any more when new - the noise issue just pop-ed up and presented itself - especially on cold start and initial low speed / movement of car.

Good luck with your trouble shooting .

**- my Catalytic Converted replacement $t cost is high but is still a lot better than an internal engine problem.

Hello Stephen Rom,

but this sound from my car comes from the engine not from somewhere down or under the car ?

Regardless, if it is what I think it is, it's not "engine failure" and most likely will not require replacement. The caveat being if there's metal shavings in your oil. If there are, all bets are off.
