As a huge Audi fan and now a Pana ST owner I think it's just really a case of a "Maturing Palate". I can only speak of my experience, but when I was finally able to buy more expensive vehicles, I went the Audi way with a 1990 90CS, but I got that used and pretty worn in 1995. Still loved driving that thing, but my '97 A4 1.8T this was the second and really made me a fan for life. Fast forward present day and I'm a proud multiple Porsche owner, but always have a soft spot for an Avant, especially an RS6. To me there are no comparison Porsches are driving machines that are engineered to be amazing all around. They may not be the best in anything (I argue that the PDK will always be the gold standard and have the best "connected" feeling IMO), but at a minimum above average in all the categories. the RS6 Avants will always be unicorns to me, but give me a modestly equipped Pana ST any day.
To talk about ST availability, I think the GM of my local dealership (Monmouth, NJ) told me that 1 out of every 12 Panamera's sold in the US are ST's, which mean 1 of 2 things: owners love their ST's and are not selling them or the ratio is higher than 1:12. I have a Pana 4 EH ST and after driving it for 500 miles, I knew I wanted the Turbo S EH ST. Don't get me wrong, I love my Pana and will just wait until the next gens are released 2024 in hopes of even more e range.

Anyway it doesn't have acc/inno drive which will be a hard must have for me
