Porsche dealer service hourly rate is approx. $220 give or take based on location. Oil change takes about 1 hour, plus 9Q Mobil1 0W20 X2 ESP oil, plus oil filter. I am guessing at least $400, more likely closer to $500.

I have priced this at my local opc, here in Scotland, they wanted £525 which equates to approx $720. Interesting to see how much cheaper this are for you guys . Needless to say, I didn’t get the work done there

Cost of oil change kit, oil/filter/drain plug/gaskets at fcpeuro about $115 plus taxes free shipping. Couple hrs to do yourself. Best of all every change after that return oil/etc for refund, so oil change cost is only return shipping.

I will not pay Porsche dealership $4-500 to change my oil on my Panamera. I found a mechanic to do it for $100 and I supplied the oil.
Bought the oil at Walmart 2- 5 gal jugs for $50. 0 - 40 Mobil One.

I did it myself for the first time a few weekends ago. It was super easy and only cost me 20-some dollars for the filter socket on Amazon, an inexpensive filter, 9 quarts of Mobil 0W40 oil from Walmart, and about an hour of time.

But how did you guys shut off the oil service light? I think you need the PIWISS III to do it (at least for the 971 models)..

PIWIS or other compatible gismo. Unfortunately, no other way to turn off that annoying reminder.

I bought the iCarSoft. Around $289 but it pays for itself after one or two oil changes.

And that works on a 2018 or later 971?

Does a 2012 need something special to reset the light? New car to me. I have a Low oil light coming on and when I opened the hood now have a "oil level not available" indicator. WTF. The newer cars sure are a pain IMHO. Any advice welcomed, even snide remarks

Cheers, Mike
