I contacted he company and asked what they had for the 970 Turbo, they sent the link below and said bench data shows airflow is more than 10% greater than stock OEM. No figures on HP/TQ increase available. Has anyone used this product or an alternate with great results? I assume my IPD would still fit. https://www.solerengineering.com/porsche/se-473-086

Reason: place blanks before link
IMHO, you'd really need a tune to take advantage of the increased airflow. Otherwise, the car is going to be working against the built-in constraints of the tune. In particular, more air would require more fuel at a given throttle input and the stock tune may not have the latitude to deal with it. TPS@X=CFM becomes TPS@X=MORE_CFM. In addition, it might also affect clutch lockup, so the trans table may benefit from being adjusted as well. I have no doubt the car would run, and you may even see some performance increase. But you'd be best served by getting a custom dyno tune. (Ask some of the LT/LS folks what happened to their L60/L80e transmissions when adding bigger throttle bodies without adjusting the trans-tables..)

Hello, glad to see we have been mentioned here already. We have just started our supporting vendor membership here and we'll be around to help from now on. Do not hesitate to email or call.
And how do you like this setup? Did it eliminate the dreaded turbo lag in your PTT?
Spoke to Vivid and they said changing the TB would require a special tune that they could not support unless I was nearby. So that's a no.
The Vivid Tune has been great. One thing I did notice though; after driving with the tune for a couple of months I decided to turn my Sprint Booster OFF to see if the tune by itself handled lag and throttle input better. Guess what? The car felt like it had lost some serious horsepower in all modes. Turning the booster back ON really helps the tune come to life. I was surprised. I'm only using level #3 normal mode on the booster.
Tuning is not required on any of our TB's to date. Arguably, the tune can be optimized (mainly at WOT) once you get to add a certain number of modifications (airflow). The ECM can and will compensate for the most popular modifications even if combined. It only takes installing one of our TB's and driving it. If you think it needs tune or for any other reason, you can return it for a full refund (within 30-days of delivery).
Not sure how can anyone tell whether a given modification, new in the market, will need a special tune without trying it or at least looking at it. Maybe the tuner meant "might" or; did they say "would"?
