Thank you for this tip! I’be been looking for a simple sleek mount for my iPhone. Tired of my phone catapulting off the centre console with spirited driving! I have the Unichip CarPlay mod so don’t need to look at the phone while driving but need it to stay in place!

Was initially considering a ProClip mount but didn’t care much for its bulk and price. This mount is $15 shipped on Amazon! Sold! I ordered one yesterday!

I like, question is will the weight of phone cause vent bushings to fail and face downward?

 

Thank you very much for sharing - looks like a great solution! I have an iPhone 12 pro with the silicon Magsafe case. How does the other side of your case look? Did you have to glue a piece of metal onto the back?

 

It holds the vent horizontal. I don’t think it should be an issue

 

I just put the magnet between the case and phone.It’s very strong. You only need to attach it if you don’t use a case.

Got around to installing my Lisen phone mount - took all of 2 minutes! Very pleased! Sleek and unobtrusive! Works perfectly for my iPhone XS. I just laid the magnet between the phone and case (I didn't bothering using the adhesive). The vent mount is sturdy. There are "flanges" on the top and bottom of the vent mount that are designed to keep the horizontal vents open and prevent sagging of the vents. Magnet is strong and phone doesn't budge. You can still adjust the vertical vents using the vent adjustment but the horizontal vents need to remain fully open.

$15 shipped on Amazon! Can't beat this deal. I was about to pull the trigger on a ProClipUSA console mount but was dragging my heels given its "bulkiness". So glad you posted when you did as this is what I actually wanted!

 

Thanks. The thing I love about it is you don’t have to look over and down - it’s heads up , actually above the tach. And rock solid so far! Also I didn’t want to start prying apart my console anyway.
