Default CPO Items included?

Hello all,

I’m in the process of buying a 2018 Panamera Turbo S e-hybrid that’s a Porsche Approved CPO. Obviously I’m pretty excited about it. The as-built configuration includes the painted key in the Porsche leather case. In speaking to my salesman over the phone - it’s a cross-country purchase, and asking about all the items the car comes with, I asked about this key. He said that the key is scratched up and he wasn’t sure it came with the leather case.

I don’t want to be petty about a $150 key case on a $150k car, but if the as-built and CPO advertised lists say it has the painted key and leather key case, am I right that I should demand they include this, even if they need to provide a new leather key case? I look at it similar to the rear entertainment system: if one of the monitors went missing, it would need to be replaced by the CPO dealer. Same as the charging cables that came with the car originally.

I don't think they need to provide it with the CPO (and I don't think they need to provide the rear entertainment system if one was missing either btw), but can you ask them to do it? Certainly.

Oh and on my car it was a $530 option (based on the window sticker), not $150

You should get two keys, I don't believe the CPO process specifies the leather pouch if so optioned. Regardless, I would ask for it to be provided at least for one of the keys. My used '18 came with one slightly scratched "daily" key that the dealer polished up for me but the other looked to be unused and had the beautiful leather pouch with it. It's a nice touch. Good luck.

Or ask dealer to drop price to compensate for the missing items. Showing them you are ready to walk away will give them the incentive to do whatever you are asking. Not everyone can pony up 6 figures for a Turbo S E-hybriid, so it will stick around.

This isnt related to why youre posting, but why is a 2018 PTSEH going for that much when theres cheaper examples that are also CPO?
Just want to make sure youre getting a good deal here.

otherwise: ask nicely at time of pickup, or ask for a few $ off, or see if theyd include something else from the service/merchandise dept for you.

@doctj I rounded up almost $25k to make the point about $150 vs $150k. You’re right, that was unintentionally misleading - I’m not paying that much for it, even if sticker was over $210k.

I appreciate everyone’s input on this. I will ask nicely over the phone, as my pickup is very remote.

The dealer offered, even without my having to push, that they were giving me a new leather case for the key, as the equipment list included it. Looking forward to its arrival next week - the Panamera that is!
