Default Cameras

Is there a way to force the front or rear camera to come on in a panamera (970.2)?

My wife has a 2018 971 and on the overhead panel on the right side there is a button to turn on the cameras.

the 970's overhead button only turns parking sensors off (and keeps them off). It's very annoying to me that there isn't a way to turn them on easily. What you have to do is, on the PCM, go to 'car', 'options', and then view parking sensors/cameras from a menu item in there. That is the only way to bring them up without the system coming on automatically when you drive close to an object.

I used to do it the way that Strassenkurven noted (agree, it is incredibly annoying to have to go through all those steps), but realized the quickest way is to just throw the car into reverse to activate the cameras, then you can also put it into drive and still have the camera functioning...
