PURCHASING A PORSCHE PANAMERA GTS 2014
#31
I'm considering selling my 15 P4 for a 4S or GTS, but I've heard the "early model V-8's" have issues with motor mounts, glued coolant pipes, aluminum bolts for cam adjuster (covered by recall, I think), plastic coolant Y-pipe under manifold that cracks (heard Porsche has a new Al part for that but no recall). Anyone here know if "early model..." means 10-13 or includes 14-16's as well - or have experience with these problems?
Just had to get my spoiler replaced, fortunately through CPO. Unfortunately, the cracked tail lights, not by force but by weather (I guess) are on my dime. Anyone else have these cracked tail light problems here?

The 2014 has the glued pipe in the thermostat housing and the plastic Y pipe. I have plans to up grade these on my 2014, this month. The T housing may have been upgraded in 2015. The 2014 GTS has hydraulic steering, not sure about later models. Gives better feel than electric.

Thanks Shuga and justabout. Seems I should have any V8 970 checked out for these maintenance items in a PPI. Also makes me wonder about the V6's too even though I haven't heard of these exact problems. I'll have to check out my P4.
