Default Rear centre console cup holder wont close :(

Recently purchased a very clean 2014 Porsche Panamera 4s executive. The only issue I can find is that the rear centre console cup holder won't close.
When I bought the car I noticed it wasn't easy to open. I eventually just pressed it and it open. After that, I have only been able to close it once. I recently had someone in the back seat and they pressed it open. Now I can't get it to close.
Has anyone else had this issue and found a way to close it? I would be fine never opening it again lol.

Hi > i am Also experiancing the same issue on my 2014 4S executive purchased 2 weeks ago. I would like to see if someone could have the step by step procedure on how to remove it. Per the drawing , I lools like there is only 2 screws from the top but I am not 100% sure about that . Any help would be greatly appreciated . Thank you

Default panamera 4s excutive cup holder

HI All
I was not succeful yet to remove this rear center business cup holder that does close anylonger BUT here are the step below that i followed so far to get me about 80% of being able to remove this cup holder.
1/ 1st , pry out each leather panel out of the console item 20 ( left + right side of the console) they are just clips into the center console => However , I did not remove them completely as I could not figure it out how to do so with the safety belt clip in the way. So put something in between the panel and the console to keep each panel out of the way for the next steps of the process without breaking and clip / tabs.
2/ then at each side of the tray item 19, there is a tork screw Txx to unscrew , I also did not remove them all the way as it seemed unnecessary.
3/ then remove 4 screw Txx on top of the cup holder itself i believe it is item 15.
5/ then pry out the entire assembly which is item 19 + item 15 all together and try to rotate it out of the console toward the front of the car, I was about 75% sucessfull to remove it completly out of the console , but something seemed in the way and I did not want to break anything, So i stopp and Put everything back together.
6/ Now If you are succeful to remove the entire cup holder assembly ==> I believe that you will need to do the following to remove the cosmetic wood panel out of the cup holder door ==> Remove 2 screw Tork Txx at the bottom of the door when opened then slide the wood panel downward from the cup holder door ==> it should come out then you should be able to reveerse this step to install it back onto your new cup holder assebly.
Now if any of you go as far or even further than these few steps above , Please feel free to share your tips and experience to all us to eventually be able to exchnage this maudit cup holder Pb.
In the meantime , I requested a quote at Porsche to exchange it ,I will see and let you all know when how many $$$$ will they ask me for this job
Thx

thanks for posting this…I was able to take it one more step, and it came right out! the lower 2 screws stay in attached to their clips, each of which has a screw going in from the side, pull those two and it comes right out! They are a pain to get to without a small ratchet setup…I posted my repair video…
