Default Button on B pillar

I was vacuuming my car and I noticed this button. I pressed it and nothing happens. Does anyone know what this is?

Looks like the internal alarm motion sensor. Useful if you are locking a pet in the car with the window down.. I think.

Yes, motion-sensor alarm; this deactivates the alarm with the doors locked in case you have people/animals inside while you run into the store or whatever. Odd place to put it. This question comes up every once in a while in the forums.
