Hello,
I’m about ready to run this car off a cliff I’m so frustrated with it.

I have a weird knocking noise coming from front drivers side. this is not the noise from going over speed bumps or cold weather crunch.
Replaced:
both struts
upper control arms
lower control arms
both sway bar bushings
both sway bar links

i have a video I could email to those interested in hearing.

HELP!!
Thanks everyone!

Please post the video. You didn't list tie rods/tie rod ends. Could it be steering related? What about the steering column? What about a brake-related sound? Loose caliper? What is the history of this vehicle?

Engine mounts? Did you tight up everything on the brakes and steering column?

FINALLY!!!
we have finally figured out the issue. After several replacement sets coming from RMT we finally decided to buy new struts from FVD.net We replaced passenger side today with the new strut and the noise is completely gone. We are now ordering another strut for the drivers side because it is still knocking and is the RMT strut. I would NEVER recommend RMT for struts. 3 separate sets and each one had issues! Be sure and give Rhonda at
fvd brombacher a call and bypass RMT they have the worst customer service and the products are defective. My independent shop has used them for other vehicle types but definitely will not use them again.

To the top for a recent owner review.

I will never understand why Porsche owners would use rebuilt anything if a new option was available.

Uh, because some Porsche owners are frugal? Certainly I was for the first 30 years. Not everyone believes a $2000 OEM new alternator is batter than the $500 pelican parts refurb.
