Hello Rennlist, I picked up a set of wheels and tires off of a 970.2 (2015) Panamera for my 2013 Panamera GTS. After installing them, the car is not recognizing the TPMS sensors. Has anyone had success with getting TPMS sensors for a 970.2 Panamera to work on a 970.1 Panamera? I'm guessing I'll need to buy new sensors but wanted to ask first.
Thanks,
Joe

Sensors were changed mid-way through the 2014 model year. Unfortunately those 970.2 sensors won’t work on your 970.1. You’ll need to buy new sensors.
I’d recommend you don’t buy from the dealership as they’ll be crazy expensive. I have 4 sets of wheels for my 970.2 and all have TPMS installed. I’ve purchased on-line from tpms.com (I have no affiliation with them) and saved a ton of $$$. I went with the Huf Intellisens. Best to call the dealer and get the Porsche part number for your sensors based on you V.I.N.. This way you can source the appropriate replacement. Good luck!

FYI...if the 970.2 sensors have a good date (stamped on the sensor body) and the batteries are still good, you can get at least $100 for the set on Craigslist. I’ve sold sensors this way without much trouble. You can check the battery life using a TPMS tool like the Autel TS401 or TS501 or similar. Hope this helps!
