There's also two open recalls. One where water can infiltrate the air blower and cause it to fail / fire risk. And another where the car can roll even when in park.
OH boy.. I think a trip to the dealer is in order to check if all the recalls are up to date.

Their both recent too. Air blower came out in June and transmission one came out in September.

there is a new part out to replace the glues in pipe, it's actually the thermostat housing, it's in the V of the engine, can't see why they would take the engine out to replace something like that!

It's the one thing that really makes me nervous about long trips in my car. the failure rate isn't that high, but if it happens at the wrong time it can be very bad.

thinking hard about doing mine while the car is in winter hibernation

nope, not a recall - there is actually a lawsuit filed by someone in Florida over this, still being argued.

the actual parts from suncoast is ~$300, someplace else sells a kit with all the bits and pieces you'll need to do it properly for ~$500 if I remember correctly

I highly recommend the stock winter tires Michelin Pilot Alpin. They don't feel like a winter tire at all but perform like one. The Panamera is a blast to drive in winter.

My only recommendation is to have someone check the coolant pipe the connects to the the engine. They were glued instead of clamped in the earlier years. They can come off and leave you stranded with a serious repair bill.
Anybody know what year they started to clamp them? I have a 2013 - still under CPO, but only for another 8 months.

Any links to what you need? I'm aware of the issue, but not all of the nuance or what exactly needs to be fixed.

This is the kit I was referring to, but looking at it again I think it might have some bits that aren't 100% necessary to fix the thermostat housing issue

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...94810606921kt/

Here's the link to the thermostat housing - price has gone up since I last looked

https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...810608002.html

I'm debating whether or not to change out the thermostat while I'm in there ($165)

Thanks so much!! I'll definitely do this soon as I've read where people have $2xxx repair bills after it fails

Congrats on the purchase, Triniexr. I have been shopping for a PTT for some time and came across this same PTT at Taylor Ford in Port Perry. Did they allow a PPI? They steadfastly refused to allow an off-site PPI (I live about 5 hours away), and assured me that their Ford technician's inspection was adequate. That left me feeling uneasy, and ultimately I walked away. Beautiful car, great shape, and documented highway miles! Hope she treats you well and you get miles of smiles!

They wouldn't let it on anyone else's hoist. I took my uncle who owns a shop. He said it checked out good

No sport exhaust.

If it has lane assist, there would lights on the inside of the mirrors that you could see.

No sport design, that is the base bumper.

It has heated and cooled seats, and looks like full climate controls in the rear.

Full folding privacy screens in the back which is nice.

I don't particularly like the wood trim, but it does sort of fit the overall car, and the exterior color is good. I always had the plan that if I had to settle for brown wood on the interior, and it wasn't the pin stripped version, I would cover it with a brown carbon fiber vinyl wrap. That is completely your preference. If its been taken care of, it looks like it will give you the full Panamera experience.
Do you happen to have a photo of the sport design bumper? Wondering what that looks like / trying to figure out whether I have it or not

just came across this thread - how’s your Panamera treating you so far? Realizing you only had a few months to drive it before the world locked down, but that’s a few more months than I had (bought my 2012 Turbo just before lockdown)! Hope you’ve enjoyed it without issue so far.

Are used cars generally cheaper in Canada, or did you just find a great deal? Seems like your car should cost around $40k USD if it were selling on this side of the border.
