Got mine tinted and was installed without removing anything.
No scratches when opening insulated windows.

Did it at dealer in Atlanta very expensive as the door panels had to be removed and felt installed.

The dealer tinted my car pre-delivery. I wound up having it removed a few weeks after. The tint was scratching pretty bad. Seems like a common issue. I have a 2017 971 for what it's worth.

Had my 14-4S done at the dealer up here and its been perfect. They did the felt on it, I was not sure if the 971 required felt but is looking like it does. I will have to wait till I get the car back up in Mass next spring as I know they really know what they are doing.

My car was tinted when I bought it. It was not installed with the felt and my tint has tons of scratches on it. So yes it seems the 971 needs felt as well.

I had my 911 tinted with 0% and wanted to get my Panamera done as well. The installer told me the 971 has rubber wipers on the inside of the glass and it will scratch the film..

Absolutely do felt... I had my 2018 done with felt .. door panels came off and the felt was done without issue. Going 7 months strong
