Default PDK Changes?

I currently have both a 2010 Panamera Turbo and 981 Cayman GTS both with PDK. The behavior and smoothness of the transmission in the 981 is far far superior. Did the first generation Panamera from 2010-2016 ever get a improved PDK? Or at least improved PDK behavior? I can't find any evidence that there was any other ZF model used in the Panamera besides the 7DT-75 but surely the programming improved over time?

The 970.2 (2014-2016) PDK is much improved. It's at least as smooth as the 981 pdk.

Agree that 970.2 is improved over 970.1. I traded for the later model.

My 970.1 PDK had a firm shift. Not objectionable but it was clear the tranny was shifting. Just a characteristic of the car. The 970.2 had buttery shifts. In normal driving it felt like a conventional automatic with no feedback other than the tachometer and digital gear indicator. The characteristic has changed over the years but it’s still smooth. Either one would be acceptable to me.
