I tried but it's apparently VERY difficult.
Talked to 2 very good installers and the way Porsche designed the window/door frames for good sound isolation/safety, it's very challenging to get a tint in there, especially a good quality ceramic one.
If you have a look at how the windows contact the frame, you'll see why it's very difficult.
They recommended not tinting because of this, i was sad.

I had mine tinted with no problems. My installer didn't mention anything about the windows being difficult.

What tint % did you have installed in the photo? Looks great!

No problems on my car at all. My installer is very experienced.

24% (lower being darker).

It's dark, but still tolerable at night. I wouldn't go any darker.

My tint is all scratched up! Anyone also get scratches on their tint? It seems there isn't felt when the windows roll down.

Your installer probably didn't use the felt needed to protect the tint, especially if you have the insulated glass option which is on my car. The original owner apparently didn't use it either so I had mine redone last year correctly. This is a well-documented issue for these cars.

yep, the tint in my car is getting scratched up as well - was done by a used car dealer, so you know they didn't have the knowledge or even perhaps the desire to do it right (970)

Mine has 3 out of 4 windows scratched. Done by the dealer. Guy said he couldn’t put in the felt with the insulated thicker glass. No room.

I took mine to a dealer-trained installer in Southern CA. The price was higher than normal cars because all the door panels had to come off for a proper installation. I think if your tint shop is trying to install without removing the door panels, it will never come out correct -- and may be prone to scratches.

This is exactly what my installer did - he used a nearby partner shop contracted to take the door panels off which is a considerable effort but the only way to do it right.
