Did mine early today following the detailed procedures and after doing a lot of driving all over town today I must say the shifts are much smoother and seem to shift when I would expect or want them to shirt in both O and S+. Before how I was pushing the pedal seemed to often result in the car upshifting sooner than I hoped or expected and the only solution was to get on the pedal more to keep the RPM’s up so not to shirt to early. Now, the car seem to be shifting more in line with what I would expect.

Not sure if that is a good explaination or not, but I can tell you i is much better than before and has made the drive immediately more enjoyable. Pretty pumped actually and would not hesitate to take the 10 minutes it took to do the procedure again.

Thanks for this, transformed my car completely, it got rid of every little low speed thing it used to do! it drives completely smoothly, and took away all the odd noises and jerky stuff.

I still can't figure out how to tell if the procedure works or not other than anecdotal reviews! I wish there was some kid of sound or indicator on the dash.

hey i will try this today and report back for a 2010 panamera s with the same jerkyness when slowing down or when moving from a stop....do we use the first method or the extended method? the extended method is 3 minutes longer as u also have to put it in drive and press the accelerator at 1.5 minutes....

also when it says 3 minutes with A/C on are we just pressing the A/C button or are we pressing the AUTO button for the fans to turn on?

thanks

Did the reset on my 2011 Panamera Base with Sport Chrono Plus and PASM and I could tell a difference in "comfort' mode. Now seems more responsive and smoother. Ironically and coincidentally my driver door lock also started working with the fob and that hasn't worked for several months. I'll take what I can get... placebo effect or not.

Did the reset on my new-to-me 2010 4s today. Car currently has 31k miles (800 are mine). Certainly smoother than before. Drove the car very hard today, with a grin wide as can be!

Reset is a basic driver procedure, my old BMW 640d had it too, probably most auto's do these days.

So is recalibrating when it measures and accounts for the change in thickness of the clutch from wear?

And I also would like to know if 'turning the a/c on/off' means the A/C compressor via the A/C button or the whole HVAC system via the fan control. Seems like A/C is often used interchangeably with environmental control system or HVAC.

A/C is the HVAC in the car. Air Conditioning. Turn off means you keep lowering fan speed until all displays say OFF.

Did the extended version on mine today and it's a totally different car. Everything that made my turbo a slug shifting compared to the GTS was vastly improved. I thought this was "normal" and it was most definitely not.

Wish I knew about this years ago. Picked up a 987.2 today that was doing some weird clutch slip behavior from a start. The previous owner had a lead foot, hardly any finesse on takeoff so the TCU was acclimated to that style of driving. Going to be doing this on my 718 GTS tomorrow. What a difference.

My '09 that I took delivery of a month ago had the same problem when shifting to R or D and sorta clunky downshifts at city speeds. Cleared it right up. Bravo ciaka!

I tried this today on my 2017 panamera.
You turn off the pcm by holding down the volume **** in the middle console.
I didnt feel like it worked.
Please tell me if there is any other way?
