Default New Potential 971 Turbo Owner

Hey guys,

Long time lurker here. So my lease is up in a few months on my 2016 Audi S7. Honestly, my S7 has been an amazing car. It has been ECU tuned since 500 miles and is an absolute blast to drive. It has definitely been my favorite car I have ever owned, but honestly it has been the nicest car I have owned so that makes sense.
So I have been looking to get a used Panamera Turbo, either a 17 or 18. I do have a couple of questions though and maybe you guys can give me your thoughts.

1. All the shiny black buttons inside the cabin along with the screen. Do all the fingerprints bug you guys and do you find that the touch buttons by the gear level get scratched?
2. I normally lease cars but it just doesn't seem to make much sense for me with the Panamera. I am targeting around $135K purchase price for a car that was around $180K sticker. It seems like a huge depreciation hit. Will this car keep falling (depreciation wise) as fast as the first two years?
3. Im conflicted on the 4 zone climate control. I think it looks awesome but I have two boys, 6 and 8 and think they will just be messing with it all the time, so it might be fine to get one without it. If I find one with 4 zone climate can I lock the back screen from the front so they can't change the track and such?
4. Are you guys experiencing a roof creek when you go over uneven surfaces in your Panamera? I have driven two and they both creek on the panoramic glass.
5. Lastly, anyone here have the red interior and really like it? I find it photographs way brighter than it is in real life.

Any insight would be appreciated,

Jesse

Jesse, I can reply with my thoughts so far with my 2018 Panamera E-Hybrid with only 1,850 miles. I am coming from a 2012 Audi A6.
1. I have no issue with the shiny black buttons. I do wipe them occasionally, but it is not a major annoyance. I can't imagine they would get scratched too easily.
2. No opinion on the depreciation issue. I expect to keep my car for at least 8 years.
3. 4 zone is not a must, but it is nice. It does look great and I get many compliments. You are able to lock the functionality with the easy push of a button on the drivers door.
4. I have not heard the roof creek at all. (knock on wood)
5. Do not have the red interior, but I agree, in person it is much more subtle and appealing than in the pictures. I have saddle brown/black and everyone loves it.
Best of luck with your search and keep us posted.

I went from a tuned 2016 S6 (and previously a 2013 A7) to a Panny 4S and never looked back. The Panny Turbo is even better. You won't regret it.

Oh and I have the red interior and love it. It's not as obnoxious as it is on the Maserati. It's half black / half red.

Are you struggling with the hp drop from tuned S6 to 4S and lack of V8?

Technically, both have almost identical performance (although my S6 was tuned). I do miss the low-end grunt a bit, but the Panamera handling more than makes up for it.

hello, have an 18 pan turbo with 5,000 miles on it:

1. Fingerprints not terrible, no scratches. Panel looks great and sleek.

2. No idea on 2, I bought new but a for a great deal.

3. Get the 4 zone, looks way better and premium for anyone who looks inside the car.

4. Yes had the roof creak right when I bought, got worse and worse especially in late summer, finally took it in to dealer and they fixed it perfectly, silent now.

5. I have black interior but red looks great, not sure if you’ll tire of it though.

best of luck-it’s a great car, you’ll really enjoy it
