Default stereo controls

Can I set up my stereo to the default mode I want? I want it to be on Bluetooth when I start it up so it will instantly start playing the music on my iPhone.

It typically defaults to whatever mode you had it in last.

Perhaps in the 971? In my 2016 if I turn it off while using bluetooth it defaults to FM when I restart the car. Quite annoying

This is a 2012 Panamera and it's defaulting to stereo radio. VERY LOUD stereo radio. Much louder than the music I had been listening to. It's so annoying. And the manual is so daunting. That's why I reached out here.

Sounds like you have the "Comfort Memory package". It will default back to whatever is stored as the preference for the key used to start the car. To change / overwrite the stored values.

1. Set the radio where you want it to be
2. Press the "Set" key and then the "3" key on the drivers door.
3. You should hear a beep if it accepted the programming.

See if this helps.
