What is everyone using for a cell phone holder? I should be getting my Panamera next week and just realized that my cd-slot holder won't work in the new Panamera's (CD/DVD loader is in the trunk, right?). Has anyone tried a vent holder using the center vent?

 

In the 970s, the 6 CD changer is in the dash, and I don't know if I would use the CD slot mount with it or not. I just throw my phone on the flat area below the shifter.

 

I use Waze all the time - would love to have it in the field of vision somehow. The CD slot mount works perfect in my S6 - does anyone know if the new Pannamera's have it in the front or not?

 

No need for Waze the 971 has real time traffic powered by Google Maps.

 

Looks like you are out of luck for a CD slot holder....Looking through the Panamera brochure, no sign of a slot in the center console and the 6 CD option puts it in the glove box.

The CD slot comes standard for single play and it is located inside the glove box. I like to listen to books on tape on longer drives. It wasn't obvious to me that the single CD disc player was standard on the car, so I almost ordered the CD changer (6 discs) but fortunately I decided it wasn't worth $500. Anyway, so surprised when I discovered the single CD slot in the glove box!! Not that big a deal to eject and insert single CDs.

I put my iPhone in one of the drink holders facing me and it works just fine.

 

What internet does it use for that? I also like that waze has police and other alerts.

Chuck mine in the coin holder/ ashtray, but would love a holder that can clip to the side of the buttons near my knee.
I use the apple play too, so don't really need to use/see/handle it.

I tried google maps when my gps antenna wasn't working, didn't find it that good, seemed slow and occasionally I appeared to be driving along side the road through a field.

The centre vent automatically opens and closes on the 971; therefore, I don't think you can clip anything to it. You'll need to find a holder that sticks to the top of the dash that leverage out on an arm to a mount.

 

ProClip. I use their console mount along with a Scosche magnetic clip in my 970, works perfectly.

I have tried the following type of phone holder yesterday and it seemed to perform well without being in the way and at the same time being convenient for reading. It fits in the front cup holder. The following Amazon site shows a variety of holders. I tried out the first one by Macally.
