Sold my 991.1/Panamera on Short list
Cross-post from 991 Board:
Ok, so I sold my Black 2015 991.1, that I bought in February 2017 with 3,000 miles. Was able to recoup my down payment and more in the sale.
Short list to replace:
2018/2017 991.2 (White, GT Silver, or Graphite Blue)
2018 Panamera
2018 BMW 540i/m5501
2018 Range Rover Sport
My criteria:
Got to be cool, like a 911
Great build quality
Quiet highway cruiser
Nice interior with good tech
Stylish but understated exterior
Does Panamera fit the bill?

I thought you were further along in your process than this. If you are getting the Panamera, go for the Sport Turismo. Otherwise, the 2018 RRS is a good choice, newly updated infotainment matching the Velar.

I voted for "both." I have a Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo that's been sitting on the dock awaiting CARB clearance for 2 1/2 months. I also have a 991.2 GTS on order, ETA April/May.
I've had a couple of Panameras in the past and love their all-round practicality. I ski, haul bicycles, etc. and they've been great for those things. And I just can't live without a 911!

Flying to Austin Saturday morning to look at (and possibly buy) a Base 2018 in Volcano Grey with Black/Chalk leather interior, Premium Package Plus, and some other goodies. For those times that I miss the tossibility of a 2 seat sports car, I have my 987.2 Cayman that I bought new in January 2011 (from same dealer in Austin) and that now has 165k miles.

I've owned a RR Sport and sold it because it's FAR from sporty, not sure it still "looks cool" either, I think this one won't date quite as well as the prior first version.
The M550i is certainly a nice car, but really flies under the radar (tons of 5's out there, the old one looks too close) and at that price (85k-ish nicely optioned), I want something more exciting looking. Self driving is interesting for highway. That said, it doesn't drive like a Porsche or have quite the same connected feeling I had in the new Panamera.
Maybe I'm biased, those options were in my search as well but 971 in my garage now BUT if you don't need/want the space, just get another 991 (.2 this time).

Congrats! Luv the wheels. I don't recognize them - are they a new offering?
We wanted the "Fuchs style" but they aren't available in 21's.
Enjoy in good health. Looking forward to glowing review.

Is the nose raised in the photo? The stance seems a bit high. Even the wheel well gap in the rear looks bigger than I’d expect.
Our 21’s completely fill the wheel wells- but of course photo angles can be deceiving.
Either way - it’s a very sharp combo and those wheels will be far easier to maintain than ours. Congrats and enjoy!!
