Default NEW MODEL DISCOUNTS

My question is relevant to the Panamera forum but it really concerns the new 2019 Cayenne model coming out this fall. Does anybody know if when the new 2017 Panamera came out (i.e. it was right out of the box) the dealers were giving any discounts and if so how much. I am thinking about ordering one of the first 2019 Cayennes and would like to have some knowledge as to potential discounts my dealership should give me. I am a long standing customer of my local dealership (Porsche, MB and Audi) having purchased 4 cars from them in 10 years and using their service department for warrant and non-warranty service (I know, I know, kinda crazy).
So, how much of a discount if any should I expect? Thanks.

How much do you expect? Tell this to your sales person and see if he will sell you the car. If not, you are simply wrong. The dealer is there to sell cars but also they have their limits.

Go easy bud! OP is just seeking advice, nothing wrong with that. I think the best thing OP can do is ask his sales guy and also shop around.

Thank you very much. I am torn between a 2017 Cayenne S the dealership has that is specced almost perfectly including full leather ($94,850), and ordering a 2019 base Cayenne with the options I want ($90,000). There are pros and cons on both choices. I would imagine that about a 15% discount on the 2017 would be realistic.

I think I read some threads regarding the Sport Turismo and discounts were non-existent. I would guess the same would be true with the new Cayenne. However, I would think being a long standing customer you would get the best deal from that dealership, as small as it may be.

Honestly, I would think you should expect more than 15% on a 2017 given the re-design. 15% is about the going discount for 2017 Panameras, and those are virtually unchanged in 2018.
