1st Porsche - Panamera 4
hi guys!
New member here and in process of picking up a Porsche for my dad. He’s been an S class driver for 20+ years and wanting something a tad smaller.

So found a Panamera 4 Black/saddle with 911 turbo wheels and prem plus, as well as a few other options he didn’t really need but the discount was pretty decent. Anyway, collecting it next week.
Anything I should know in terms of how I can help him transition from the Benz to Porsche? Also with large 21” wheels, should I get him a wheel tire package? (If there is one.) Wheels are quite expensive and don’t want to have to worry about repairs in the long run. For service, they said maintenance is free first year. Pay the second, and by then if you love Porsche’s, do the pull ahead program 24 months in and avoid third year maint.
TIA
HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND MERRY XMAS!

My dad’s An s class guy too awaiting his 2018 s class refresh next week. He’s really impressed with my 4S and it’s build quality. I had a loaner of the previous gen 970 but he thought it was too rough for him. He likes the ride in my 2017 but I doubt he’d ever get one. S classes are just a different calm animal.
I wonder if your pops will mind the sportiness of the 971

During the test drive he didn’t seem to mind the sportiness. Definitely a big difference between the Panamera and s class. But he felt a change was needed. Wanted the new CLS but that’s not out until fall/winter 2018.
I guess we will see soon what happens!

Hope your Dad loves his Panamera 4. I've had mine for 9 months and have done over 12k miles. Love it! :-)
