Default The Plastic Key...

We all know the Panamera is not far off perfect - couple of gripes. But I cannot stand the plastic "key". I feels terrible to the touch and the mechanism itself is not particularly taught or satisfying - it's clunky.

Has anyone done anything about this or know of any options?

i don't have any issues with it. it would be nice to have a push button but every car manufacturer seems to have a push button these days and so it's not special anymore and I quite like turning a key....retro but without the hassle of having to actually insert a key.

i get in, turn the key and then turn it again at the end of the journey. it's such a small part of the whole Panamera experience that it's not an issue for me.

It's not the turn that bugs me - it's the fact that it feels cheap, looks cheap and the mechanism is like an Ikea light switch.

Maybe just me...

ha ha....yeah maybe. honestly, doesn't bother me but i've read on here about others disliking it so it's not just you.

They have painted version but I wonder if carbon fiber is available? I can't see it being alloy since that will probably burn you on hot days.

I noticed this when I drove the 17 PTT a couple times. It's so chintzy compared to the earlier gen.

The description says 09-16 Panamera. That's the old style plug, but if it fits that's a nice upgrade.

Suncoast replied - not compatible with 2017 + models. So no aftermarket option for now. Seems like it would be an easy win for someone to produce.
