Default The Plastic Key...

We all know the Panamera is not far off perfect - couple of gripes. But I cannot stand the plastic "key". I feels terrible to the touch and the mechanism itself is not particularly taught or satisfying - it's clunky.

Has anyone done anything about this or know of any options?

i don't have any issues with it. it would be nice to have a push button but every car manufacturer seems to have a push button these days and so it's not special anymore and I quite like turning a key....retro but without the hassle of having to actually insert a key.

i get in, turn the key and then turn it again at the end of the journey. it's such a small part of the whole Panamera experience that it's not an issue for me.

It's not the turn that bugs me - it's the fact that it feels cheap, looks cheap and the mechanism is like an Ikea light switch.

Maybe just me...

They have painted version but I wonder if carbon fiber is available? I can't see it being alloy since that will probably burn you on hot days.

I noticed this when I drove the 17 PTT a couple times. It's so chintzy compared to the earlier gen.

The description says 09-16 Panamera. That's the old style plug, but if it fits that's a nice upgrade.

I will email and ask if it is compatible with the 2017 +, thanks for the heads-up!

Suncoast replied - not compatible with 2017 + models. So no aftermarket option for now. Seems like it would be an easy win for someone to produce.
