Something I just noticed regarding the handling. If the shocks are set to sports plus, the responsiveness to the steering is significantly increased which I assume is reducing roll. The car has 20” wheels with Michelin pilot sports and PDCC. Never tried this earlier because the ride was too stiff. This shock setting may compensate for no PDCC. Hopefully someone without PDCC can do an experiment and report back.

I considered replacing my PGTS. But when considering the trade in value, it would be crazy to replace it. A new V8 starts at $160k!
You really do get a lot of value on the used market.

I have it and would not order another car without it. As far as noticing it, my wife noticed it the first time we went around a curve (normal speed), exiting the highway. She said 'hey, the car isn't leaning!'. I hadn't even told her about PDCC.

Default +1 on PDCC &PTV

I have a ‘13 GTS with this option, and close friend has same car without. Not night and day, but for him it’s pretty close to sunset.
it feels flat, stable, even intuitive in all turning forces on the car

hahaha

I didn't scan this thread, but I'll point out that the "Sport Package" came with PDCC. When shopping for cars (and having PDCC as a requirement for myself) it took a while to realize that PDCC doesn't show up as an option if the Sport Package as on the options list instead. And of course the Turbo S got it as standard.

It's definitely a rare option to find though. Everyone seems to say it's a "requirement", but so many Panameras don't have it, I doubt that's really the case. For me.. I wanted the PTV+ (mechanical rear LSD) that's included with PDCC, more than I cared for the dynamic sway bars.

It's a 5k option on an already expensive car that's asking a kidney for things that come standard on 30k Hyundai's; there isn't much doubt in my mind as to why it's a rare option. That said I have it, got all the performance options figuring I'm already into it for a kidney so I might as well get all the goods. A couple comments relating to discussion in the thread: The PDCC can also change the relative rate front to rear and uses this ability to tune under/oversteer dynamically. Also the electric works fine. My take is if you don't have it and haven't driven a car with it most would think the car handles just fine for a big old boat. Get it and lose that body roll and you'll miss it. Miss it to the tune of 5k is questionable but you'll notice the lack.

Driving a Porsche without PDCC is like dating a blonde with nine fingers.
