I don't know where you are located and what other Porsche dealers are around you, but I would demand (nicely) a 5% discount or your deposit back. Ask for a bigger discount if you want, start at 10% and negotiate down.

They will tell you they can't refund your deposit, but that's baloney. They breached the agreement (you said you have texts) and you want your X% off or you're out.

And be prepared to walk.

Somehow this whole thing from the dealer doesn't pass the smell test. Not sure what happened, but they are clearly taking advantage of you.

**UPDATE**

Received delivery on Monday. Dealer gave me a great deal on Maintenance, free tire and wheel, and windshield. Also got a break on the price by about 4k. Didn't have to ask for it, either.
