rear seats now available for gt350R owners... so there's at least 2-3 happier people.

Wait so you're paying more for the R because it has no radio, A/C, or backseats, now you can pay even more to add all those things back in and still call it an R? The Porsche business model has come to America.

I'm one of the dumb buyers. Would love to buy R and add back seats. Most likely have to settle for gt350 with track package.

I'm going to add either a GT350 or the GT350R if I can find one. Does anyone know of a dealer selling the GT350 for msrp and has an allocation? I'm in ATL, but am willing to order from any state and transport. I have a cousin who works at Ford, but that's not likely going to help me in this search!

PM me if you don't want to post the dealer or contact name.

Thanks!

Getting the carbon fiber wheels, and the suspension which is set up to match their light weight… Name one other car in the world that has them outside of the Multi million dollar koenigsegg. That feature alone is worth some serious coin… The R at list price is the steal of a lifetime

The wheels are definitely epic, no doubt about it - and I want to say first production car in history that came with them.

Speaking of GT350 - just took my car out for a nice cruise along some main roads. Be prepared for everyone wanting to race - had a brand new BMW SUV with quad pipes in the back take off at the light on a public street - he must of hit over 120 mph. I'm waiting for the track.

I am seriously considering a 350 with Track Pack and interested in what other GT3 owners have to say (over and above whats already posted). $60k is about my maximum threshold for a car I am willing to take to the track, and it opens up some other options (nice Cayman, 997 Turbo, etc). The 350 has the added bonus of warranty, which goes a long way for me. This is a car that will also be daily driven, but I do not mind an uncomfortable ride if the car is fun to drive and more track capable.

I am not enamored with the look of the 350, and I am not sure the interior is quite up to what I'd like to see, but understand that certain sacrifices need to be made for the higher end performance parts and trackability. My GT3 is my weekend toy and my current daily is an E90 M3 (which I will be keeping). I am really looking for something that will give me little worry during the week and be a blast at the track. One $19k engine later (under warranty thank God), I am a bit leery of tracking the M.

If someone in Orange County California owns one, I'd love to take a look in person and maybe a ride as passenger. I'll probably hit up the Aliso C&C and ask around a bit.

The interior should make you happy - it's not a Bentley but it's got all the right stuff like a beautiful stitched alcantara steering wheel (up there with the 997 RS versions) and these gorgeous alcantara Recaro seats (TrackPack) and alcantara inserts in the doors. When you're sitting in this car you know you're in something special. It's hard to find the "sacrifice" that makes it 100k cheaper than it's rivals. For that reason I question if this car itself has any profit margin at all at MSRP.

Visually the GT350 has a commanding presence in person - extremely aggressive, low and wide.

I'll try to upload some interior closeups this week.

FYI There is a gentlemen here who has the new 991 GT3 RS and a handful of GT3 Cup cars - he just picked up the new Shelby and raves about it (likes it as much as all his GT3 Porsches.) He's on the 6 GT350 forums I can put you in touch if you like.

Days of Thunder haha - no I didn't. 10 years ago maybe I would raced him back when I was a little more invincible. I hate tickets so I only give it some gas when it's open highway and zero traffic or places for cops to hide.

I was finally able to get my hands on a R. Literally have only driven it around the block once. I love it already! My first car was a 67 Mustang so its kind of cool to come full circle many years later. It is getting fully wrapped for protection along with some exterior carbon replacement parts. Have an upcoming LA-Vegas run with our Porsche/Ferrari friends and look forward to showing them a cool muscle car!

I think I'd choose this car over many super cars costing multiple what this car costs. It is so cool. Even though it rained at Sebring when my turn to drive it arrived, I still saw enough to know I want one some day. Congratulations on scoring this beauty and enjoy it!
