At the end of the day it's still a Ford Mustang.

My 2012 Boss weighed 3600# with 1/4 tank bone stock no driver. I hope it isn,t like the new C7 when it is actually scaled by the Mags. I have sneaking feeling that the 200#'s lighter is going to be the 4 cyl version not the V8 GT.

the new suspension and IRS are going to need some serious real world miles to determine if this paltform is a winner or not…

Going to be interesting to see if they offer a Shelby version with a 5.8L 4 cam. (or bigger).
Would also like to see a lightweight high output normally aspirated 5.0L stripper version.

The camaro will have some newfound competiton.
Not sure what ever happened to the Challenger? lol

the interior looks like it is made from recycled Lego's. My first car was a 1965 Mustang 289. Was a blast and hope to get a Mustang again someday. Like the outside but will stick with the German for a while yet.

That is true. Shifting when not overheated on track but on street still isn't the greatest IMHO. But you get what you pay for I suppose. PM a rough cost of the Mcleod clutch if you have a chance.
Thanks

Maybe with this gen they'll bring back the Mach 1. Beef up that Boss motor a bit more, make it somewhere close to 3,100 lbs and we'd have a fantastic RWD, IRS, NA, V8 MT beast!

I doubt any of this will happen, though. They did a great job with the Boss/Laguna Seca's so hopefully something special will happen with this generation.

My 2011 base GT weighed 3540, so that looks consistent.

Im w/ you! F has to come up w/ an answer to Chevy's cameros including the z28. There's no reason that the boss 5.0L cant be massaged to near 500hp, put in a better clutch and keep the weight to a minimum. Thats how youre gonna beat the fat chevy.

BTW love the avatar !

I like it, i'll definitely be watching what special editions they bring out. Rumours around about a 600hp twinturbo Shelby GT350 and the Mach 1.

I've got the Boss302 Laguna Seca now it's nuts I love it.
