This past week, a local customer dropped this gorgeous 2012 Ibis White V8 R8 off for our Supersport Exhaust System. We have been wanting to play with the tubing diameter a little bit to see how it affected sound and power, and we’re really happy with the results. More importantly, the customer was thrilled and absolutely loves the sound and power! This particular system is a complete replacement for the factory muffler section from the headers back. We used 16ga 63.5mm (2.5") T304L stainless steel with four resonators to achieve what we believe is one of – if not the - best sounding R8 exhausts on the market. We also installed a set of carbon fiber BMC racing filters to finish it off. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to dyno the car after the filters, but with the exhaust alone we saw just under 10 whp and 16 ft/lbs of torque. In addition to the power gains, the Fabspeed Supersport system weighs over 34 pounds less than the factory setup, which make for some great weight-savings!
