I had one as my daily driver for 10 years as an outside sales guy.

Great road car. Make sure its got a good maint. history and has been serviced regularly.

I had 175k on mine and it ran like a fine watch. Some idiot ran into the back of it at about 30mph without even stepping on the brakes while I was stopped at a traffic light. Totalled it and the car in front of me (Which was a brand new, special ordered M3. Boy was that guy pissed.) If that had not happened, I'd still be driving it.

Great news. The Lord did help me. The car was a P.O.S.! Stored outside, no cover, cracked dash, molding etc. Wanted about 50% over market. This lesson has taught me to stick with P-cars. Thanks all.

You are going to love the S2. Just put an exhaust on it they sound great with a little less restriction.

Haven't bought the exhaust yet. What do you suggest? Thanks.

I had one for a few years. It was the first car I ever bought. Had an alternator go once. BMW wanted a fortune for a replacement then I realized I could remove the mounting plate from the old alternator and order the exact same Bosch alternator from a Bosch retailer, which was 1/4 the price. Don't remember any other issues with it. More of a comfortable and stylish cruiser than a sports car.

You'll either need to be a good mechanic, or know a good mechanic. Lots to go wrong with that mileage.
