Have contacted my Ford dealer to put my name on the list for the 2013 Ford C-Max Energi plug in hybrid.
They said they're not sure if they will be getting one or not, as Ford hasn't told them and is still determining which regions will be getting the first.
It's the first plug in hybrid that I like, as I don't believe battery technology will allow for a practical pure EV anytime soon. I can easily install the 240VAC in home wall mounted charging station.
Federal tax credits are apparently going to be offered for both the vehicle and in home charging station.
Anyone else looking at this vehicle yet?

I still would get a TDI or similar before a Hybrid. I don't think the technology is there yet and have no need for a vehicle that is limited to less then 100 miles in its economy mode (eg Electric.) . Since I bike commute whenever I can that saves even more energy and this isn't a political statement.

Living in a 'green state' automatically extends the hybrid battery/powertrain warranty to 10yr/150K, which is nice.
My current DD is a 2010 Golf TDi, which in the summer (non blended diesel) has achieved 54mpg to/from work (~120 miles).
I am considering a new job, which would be ~7.5 miles from home, so the plug in hybrid seemed like a cool idea.
