I don't see the fender damage. Does it really need to be replaced? Buy the cheapest silver hood you can find and call it a day...

Thats too bad about the damage. Doesnt seem too bad tho. I have a 98 528 that has 170k miles and going strong. I also have a 2000 M5 that I love. You may consider buying the car back and parting it out. Regardless, get the M5, a 2001-2003 would be my choice if I bought another one.

just bought a used hood for $435, silver and delivered. Little leary of aftermarket body panels. Takes longer to get them lined up, usually. It'd be nice if it was the correct Silver, but I doubt it.
Yeah, shooting for the later e39 "Facelifted" M5 that hasn't been beat to death. I'll sell the 528 sometime net year or two.

I've got a '99 528i with 330,000km on it and it runs like NEW. Just got some 17" 540i M package wheels for it for $500. What a GREAT value car. I wish it had an LSD and a bit more power.. but whatever.. I paid $1000cdn for the car so I'm not complaining. I've put a new ABS/ASC controller for $450 ($1200 @ dealer) and new smoked ebay headlights and taillights ($350) and a new rad/waterpump ($175+$50)
