Had one of these (1 of only 10 in the US) at our C-n-C today.
'93 Jaguar XJ 220. Didn't have my camera w/ me today but took some pics w/ the cell phone, I'll try to get them off later today.
This photo is from Google Images, NOT the car there today:

I used to live in a little village in England next door to the development factory for the XJ220, we'd see them driving around from time to time before they were released.
The factory was later sold to Aston Martin and they started building DB7's.

Wikipedia says only 455 M1's were built. No wonder it is quite rare today.

I drove one when I considered buying it. The ergonomics (primarily pedal/wheel relationship) made it relatively uncomfortable to drive. While it was considered a performance car in its era, it would not seem exciting today. That experience was not as disappointing as getting into a GT40 (not the new series, the old one), which I absolutely could not drive at all. The problem isn't size or flexibility ( I currently have an Elise 190R, as Super 7, previously owned a Europa, a Pantera, raced a Lola T163 Can Am, and have driven most series of mid-engined Ferrari), but the driving position in the GT 40 is really tough. Don't know how those guys drove them at 200 mph. The new Ford Gt is much easier to live with. Some cars are better to look at, and the M1 is one of those. AS

This one has been on display at The Imperial Palace in Vegas for over 10 years:

Maybe only 10 were initially imported by Jaguar back in the day. Many more have been certified since, probably due to the exotic car exception that is also allowing a handful of 959's to be registered.
