Track alternative: Lotus 2-Eleven

Nothing against the 2-11, but have you considered the Ariel Atom? It's faster and at least as cheap to run.
They have a new Spec Racer Atom that's reasonably priced. This version is more track focused, with better suspension, more safety, less power (around 220hp), and can be raced. I just raced one last weekend at VIR, and it was a blast. Best lap time was 207.0.
I own the Atom in my Avatar, and have seen several 2-11's at the track, and none are ever close in pace. Mine's also street legal, and after 13K miles it's reliability's been almost flawless.

+1 on the Atom.
Several of them at Hallet. Never seem to break, (even the guy running slicks). They run them with the open wheelers because their speeds are not compatible with the street car group.

I've driven the 2eleven a number of times at the track.
Pros: Nimble, powerful up to 140ish, remarkable grip, parts aren't outrageous
Cons: Easy up to the limit, but the very limit can snap, at 140 it hits an aero/power wall, I don't fit too well (6'8" though)

Ron,
I read on LT that you bought the 211. Congrats on the purchase.
And, Jack and Andy on LT are the real gurus on the 211's.
Enjoy the new car.

Experience with 211?
Have you run the 211 yet? How would you compare it to the GT3? I'm in the market, and am debating between a 211 versus a nicely set-up GT3 or GT3RS. Would appreciate your advice. BTW, I too looked at the 211 you purchased
